Provider Description
I am a heart-centered art therapist and counselor with a strong focus on encouraging exploration, self-discovery and empowerment through visual and symbolic expression. I offer a range of treatment modalities such as creative arts therapy and talk therapy while working through a Jungian lens with focus on self-compassion, mindfulness, spirituality, mind-body connection and creativity. Art therapy may differ from what we think of traditional arts based practices since it can be utilized as a tool to further explore unconscious thoughts and emotions, it isn't necessary to have a background in art making, just the desire to explore your psyche. In our work together we will learn from the process of creating and from the artwork itself. Together we will utilize line, symbol, shape, color and texture to further explore personal metaphor, encouraging introspection and healing.
