Lyndsey helps clients who are Neurodivergent, queer/trans, anti-capitalist/anti-colonialist, disabled/chron. illness/chron. pain, experiencing isolation and misunderstandings/assumptions & who may be living life unsustainably or in chronic burnout/overwhelm, who are often living under oppressive systems & committed to liberation. I can help you lean into strengths & identify accommodations, as well as offering true understanding that good intentioned NT providers sometimes struggle to relate to. Lyndsey aids in navigating late discovery, oppressive systems, unmasking and authentic living, sensory & social difficulty, burnout prevention & recovery, disability/chronic illness support, executive dysfunction, identity work, trauma healing/processing, religious trauma, depression, anxiety, gender and sexuality exploration, body/gender dysphoria, relationships, regulating emotions & sensory issues, life transitions ; includ. some assistance with other commonly co-occurring conditions in Autistic/ADHD populations like BPD,OCPD, OCD, ARFID but isn't a specialist in these areas. Lyndsey utilizes a mixture of theories and conceptualizations: ND affirming, disability justice, systemic, anti-colonialist, anti-Oppressive/Liberation, Anarchist, trauma-informed, black liberation, feminist(No TERFS),object relations, somatic/polyvagal & mindfulness. Lyndsey can offer screenings for Autism & ADHD & write ESA, GAC, and disability accommodation letters within ind. therapy. Sex & Body Positive. I treat the individual at an individual level while also working from a Systems/Disability Justice/ Black Liberation/ Liberation Psychology framework to change systems through education, direct action, & mutual aid. Because we aren't free until all of us are free. I am a YT ("White") therapist practicing out of an inherently colonialist, repressive system, who is aware of this aspect of my role & privilege & help or to harm w/i this system, practicing anti-racism & re-conditioning internalized bias/socialization through accurate education, engagement with diverse communities, unlearning propaganda & toxic beliefs, & signal boosting & listening to QTBIPOC voices. I operate out of Anarchist oriented principles of justice & liberation, providing revolutionaries also doing this kind of work with a safe place to process.
