Dr. Aquino is an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist who completed his doctoral education at Chapman University. He specializes in the treatment of chronic pain conditions (i.e. CRPS, low back pain, neck pain, sciatica, chronic pelvic pain and painful sex conditions), teaching his patients how to take an active role in optimizing their health. Dr. Aquino is a trauma-informed and psychologically-informed physical therapist with training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, which he uses to compliment his physical therapy and pain coaching practice. He emphasizes self-treatment techniques, exercise, movement modifications, cognitive and mindfulness based strategies, as well as lifestyle and behavior modifications to help his patients recover and thrive. Dr. Aquino has a specialized background in working with the LGBTQIA+ population and provides a safe, inclusive, gender affirming space for healing. He offers specialized services in pre-operative and post-operative care for gender affirming surgeries, and gender affirming pregnancy and postpartum care.
