I’ve been a Houston-area doula and childbirth educator since 2013. My training focus has always been on LGBTQ+ competent and inclusive support. I network with and refer to like-minded providers, and my backup doulas are people I’ve worked alongside for years and know to also be informed and inclusive, as well as highly skilled. My approach is to first get to know my clients, and to let you see and know me. We discuss hopes, priorities, fears and challenges around the birth experience. I share the options that impact your goals, and we make a plan for communicating with care providers and building a supportive care team. I teach tools to manage the hard parts. And then I’m there with you through your birth experience, and I support you on the other side with resources for recovery, infant feeding and care, and space to process everything. I offer monthly Zoom or office visits, access to birth education, birth plan development, a lending library, and weekly support groups.
