Provider Summary
Provider Description
Hello and welcome! I’m Alyssa, an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. This path through life isn’t always clear or easy and sometimes you find yourself forging an entirely new one. Whether you’re taking unexpected turns or charting a new destination based upon changing interests or circumstances, therapy can be a supportive place along your way. If you are arriving here looking for such a space, I would be honored to offer it. My approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and client led, incorporating techniques from Narrative and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I offer sessions that are responsive to your goals and needs, aiming to strike a balance between exploratory (e.g., metaphors, big-picture questions) and pragmatic (e.g., skills, resources). We will work together to cultivate a space that is both safe and purposeful. I have specialized experience working with young adults and LGBTQIA2S+ people and have supported these folks with varying concerns, including: identity exploration, coming out, initiating and sustaining transition-related care, chronic illness, depression, perfectionism, life transitions, and complex trauma. The world is made immeasurably better by your presence in it and I’m so glad you’re here. If you are interested in working together, please reach out and we can set up an initial consultation call. Talk soon and take care! Listed provider: Alyssa Coffey. Credentials: MA. Areas of care: Behavioral/Mental Health, Counselor, Mental Health, Gender Affirming Care, Psychotherapy, Trauma. Languages: English. Payment and insurance: Any. Source: https://lgbtqhealthcaredirectory.org/provider/alyssa-coffey
