Provider Description
I am a Board Certified Family Physician and I provide Gender Affirming Hormone Therapy as well as PreP. My staff and I are trying hard to establish a comfortable space and medical home for the LGBTQ+ community. I have a particular desire to help Trans and Nonbinary patients. There is a tremendous need here in South Central Kentucky and we are working hard to fix that. I am a member of WPATH and use the informed consent model for Transgender Care. I do not require letters from therapists or outside evaluations. We work to help with specialist referrals and we train patients to self administer testosterone and estrogen injections, if they choose to go that route. I do general medical care as well, dealing with hypertension, diabetes, heart disease as well preventive screenings. I am happy to help with psychological concerns, managing major depression, anxiety, bipolar and other mental health conditions. My favorite part of my practice is taking care of Trans and Nonbinary patients. Addressing gender dysphoria and fostering gender euphoria really brings me great satisfaction. To relieve the burden of that distress is truly awesome.
