Hi there! Looking for help but don't know where to start? I’m Kat, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Kingston & Co. Counseling supervised by Lisa Grubbs, Ph.D, LPC-S. As your therapist, I'm here to be your greatest ally and #1 supporter in your journey toward self-discovery and growth. I like helping clients increase self-awareness, foster self-compassion, and identify/meet their needs. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, Latine/Hispanic folx, and bilingual individuals (English/Spanish). My approach to therapy centers around creating a safe and affirming space where you can be entirely yourself. I believe in the power of authenticity, and I encourage you to take up as much space as you need in our therapy room. Together, we'll navigate the complexities of your experiences with compassion and understanding. I recognize that each person's journey is unique, and I approach therapy with a commitment to meeting you where you are. My collaborative and strengths-based approach emphasizes the importance of building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust and respect. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me indulging in my love for horror movies and dad rock, nurturing my ever-growing collection of plants, crocheting, baking, and expressing myself through painting. I also have a black cat named Marvin who always strives to make my days interesting. Therapy is a personal exploration, and I'm here to provide guidance, support, and encouragement as you navigate the path towards a more fulfilling life.
