Dr. Smet is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist who is passionate about building meaningful relationships with her patients and supporting them through some of life’s most important—and vulnerable—moments. A Wisconsin native, Dr. Smet completed her residency training at University of Michigan Health at Sparrow Hospital. She believes in meeting patients where they are, understanding their values, and working collaboratively to achieve the outcomes that matter most to them. Dr Smet is an LGBTQIA-friendly physician, providing transgender men with gynecologic care and gender-affirming hysterectomy at their request. She also provides gynecologic services to transgender females who have undergone gender-affirmation surgery.
