I’m Sophie Schoenberg, a licensed clinical social worker, Trauma Therapist, Somatic practitioner and EMDR therapist I work from an anti-oppressive framework and my practice is focused on providing LGBTQIA+ affirming psychotherapy to individuals who have experienced trauma in its many interpersonal and systemic forms. I utilize psychodynamic informed, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches to treating the impacts of developmental and relational trauma and attachment wounds with attention to intersectionality, spirituality, and the mind-body connection. I’m here to provide a validating and affirming space for you to explore your identities, create more intimacy and connection in your relationships, and recalibrate toward a more authentic and compassionate life. I also provide a collaborative healing space for those who feel the weight of the world through ongoing events. I take an anti-oppressive, intersectional, integrative, and human-centered approach and acknowledge current, past and generational factors affecting your life. Sessions offer a space to reprocess traumatic experiences, express emotions, talk through difficult situations, learn skills, and foster a sense of safety in your body to facilitate healing.
