Provider Description
I'm passionate about using my professional and personal knowledge to support people in shedding social constructs such as: heteronormativity, homophobia, biphobia, passing, traditional monogamy and ableism. Navigating my own identities and the isolation which accompanied each of them has presented me with rich opportunities to normalize that which is stigmatized. Making the invisible visible was a vulnerable and transformative process that led me to find more compatible and meaningful connections, and a purposeful community. I believe our preferences, desires and attractions are normal and understanding them can lead to an empowering sense of belonging. We will explore what LGBTQIA means to you and how you can safely move towards the full spectrum of your identity. I use Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT and Solution Focused approaches to help you be more authentic with your self and your community. www.marisamusso.com
