My name is Amie. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor practicing Schema Therapy in Michigan. My clients often struggle with overwhelming feelings of shame, anger, guilt, fear, and sadness. To cope, they develop patterns and beliefs that end up making life harder. The problem with these patterns and beliefs is that they don’t always change with traditional therapy. That’s where I come in with a different approach. In Schema Therapy, we will look at the stuff in your life that makes it harder to feel happy, think clearly, and do the things you want to do in life. We'll help you understand your core beliefs and develop healthier ways of being so you don't feel held back anymore. If you struggle with feeling shut down and drained, I can help bring energy back into your life. If you feel stuck in constant stress or panic, I can help you slow down and refocus.
