Provider Description
I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Georgia. I provide psychiatric care via telemedicine through Grow Therapy, and I accept most major insurance plans. Conditions that I treat include anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, PTSD, and complex PTSD for adults between the ages of 18 and 65. I offer evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment in the form of psychotropic medication. While I do not offer psychotherapy, I am familiar with multiple psychotherapy modalities, and my treatment plan will include assistance in finding the right kind of therapist to meet your needs. During your initial visit, you can expect a comprehensive assessment of your mental health concerns, but I will also ask a variety of broader questions about your life that may or may not seem relevant to you. I do this to understand you in a more holistic way because I believe your whole lived experience should inform the care I provide. Please note that I will try to be mindful of your boundaries related to what feels safe to share. And I welcome any and all feedback related to my approach to your care. My philosophy about utilizing medication to treat mental health concerns is that it will not fix you. This is because you are not broken. I offer medication to help you navigate your daily life stressors with a little more ease. And my hope is that by making daily life more manageable, you will be able to peel back the layers of distress that are blocking your view of yourself. Because you are the most important being in your life, and I want you to be able to see yourself as the beautiful human you are. Take good care.
