Provider Description
I work primarily out of a cognitive-behavioral + mindfulness model, meaning that I help clients learn new perspectives and skills that they can use practically to help themselves feel and function better. Clients and I form a team in which to investigate their problems, the associated beliefs and behaviors and then work to modify any beliefs and behaviors causing distress. This is all in the context of clients being kind, compassionate, and curious with themselves instead of being so critical and hostile. I like to add humor and creativity to therapy, and I also strongly encourage clients to be more active, do more exercise and creative pursuits, be more social, despite any fears or doubts or negative history. Together we can make a big difference in your life!
