Call or email me to set up a free consultation call to see if we’d be a good fit. Treatment could include: growing your toolbox to better cope with current stressors exploring and addressing depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict and underlying issues recognizing and countering negative relationship patterns improving communication improving conflict management I utilize primarily evidence-based therapy practices that have been extensively researched and found to be effective. I take a flexible approach, customizing treatment to best fit you while maintaining the factors that make treatment effective. This is often described as an integrative approach. These are some of the methods in which I am trained and have experience. Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples The Arammu Relationship Checkup Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma Motivational Interviewing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Depression Clinical Hypnosis Internal Family Systems I might be for you if . . . You want to be able to talk about serious topics, and also, have some humor in your therapy. You want therapy to be a conversation. You don’t want to have to spend the rest of your life in therapy to get to a good place mentally, emotionally, or in your relationship. You both want to make changes to be better partners. You don’t want to have to teach your therapist about the LGBTQI+ community, kink, ethical nonmonogamy, the sex industry, and/or your cultural background. If I don’t already know about it; I know how to google - it’s not your job to educate your therapist. I might not be for you if . . . You want someone available for regular crisis support between sessions. You just want somewhere to vent - venting’s often part of the process in the work people do with me, but not all of the process. You want someone who will take just your side and tell your partner they are the only one who needs to change. Listed provider: Maria Rowley. Credentials: PhD.
