Dr. Maryfrances Porter is a licensed clinical psychologist seeing people in person and vitually. She works from an attachment orientation to treat people facing personal, relationship, and emotional struggles of all kinds. Dr. Porter is deeply committed to allyship. Dr. Porter treats anxiety (including OCD), depression, trauma, life transitions, neurodiversity and high functioning autism, as well as relationship and parenting problems. Dr. Porter integrates evidence-based psychotherapies - such as cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and mindfulness - with insight-oriented therapies to tailor psychotherapy for each client. Dr. Porter's private practice opened in 2009. She accepts fee-for-service payments at the time of service, and supports clients in submitting for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
