Provider Description
Hi, I’m Rim (they/them), a queer-affirming, trauma-informed clinical counsellor based in British Columbia. I work with queer, trans, and racialized adults who are navigating identity shifts, grief, relational rupture, trauma, or a desire to reconnect with themselves more fully. My practice is relational, steady, and deeply attuned, grounded in the belief that healing unfolds in spaces of safety, honesty, and care. As a queer person of Lebanese origin, I bring lived experience alongside cultural humility and an intersectional lens, while remaining attentive to how systems, identity, and history shape our inner worlds. Clients often share that they feel seen, respected, and unjudged in our work together—especially when exploring experiences that have felt difficult to name or hold elsewhere. I aim to create a therapeutic space where you don’t have to perform, explain yourself, or move faster than feels right. In addition to individual therapy, I offer relationship counselling focused on emotional connection, communication, and repair, including work with queer, trans, and non-traditional partnerships. I also provide clinical supervision for therapists seeking a reflective, collaborative space to deepen their clinical practice. Our first session is gentle and collaborative. We’ll start by exploring what’s bringing you in and move at a pace that feels supportive. My approach integrates relational and somatic work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and attachment-focused approaches, always guided by the therapeutic relationship itself. You can expect a space that honours your identity, your story, your boundaries, and your inner wisdom.
