Provider Description
I offer Systemic Relational Therapy for Couples, Families & Multi-Member Systems What does that mean? Other names for the type of work I do include "couples counseling," "marriage counseling," or just plain "therapy." The distinction is that I expand my view beyond an individual to the constellation of the relationships that form our lives. We then work together to identify and shift the patterns of communication and behavior that no longer serve those relationships. Working with couples and families of all forms is where I really shine. Our work together is a collaborative exploration of possible futures influenced by solution-focused and narrative therapy modalities. Active anti-racism, anti-fatphobia, affirmation of 2SLGBTQIA+ people, and liberation for all are core beliefs that guide my practice. You do not need to believe all of these same things for us to work together--I will meet you where you are at with your own values--but it is important to me that you know the roots of my commitment and orientation. My practice is entirely virtual and serves people located in Washington State. I am a fat, Queer, Native person (Amskapi Piikani) living on sx̌ʷəbabš, Puyallup, Duwamish and Muckleshoot lands. As an associate-level therapist, my work is supervised by Dr. Montinique McEachern (NY 001720) and Amber Rice LMFT (WA LF 606350032). I do not accept insurance. I currently have two sliding scale openings for Queer and/or Trans people of the global majority (sometimes referred to as "QTPOC").
