Have you ever felt too "weird" for therapy, or held back sharing important parts of your story because it's hard to explain who you are? Are you looking for a therapist who knows what it's like to be on the other side of the couch? Are you struggling to process trauma and need a safe place where all of you is welcome? Then you've come to the right place. My name is Kieran Mead (they/he) and I'm a nonbinary, queer therapist with a specialty in trauma work. My goal in therapy is to help you make sense of your story-- all the messy, complicated, confusing pieces-- so you can finally start to come home to yourself. Sometimes, we find that sideways. If you've ever wanted to talk about your favorite fictional characters, song lyrics, or interests in therapy, but worried you would be judged, this is a safe space for every part of you. If you're reading this, chances are life is complicated! You balance identities, relationships, and living in (and trying to change) unjust systems. The goal of therapy isn't to feel happy all the time or for nothing difficult to ever happen, far from it! Rather, in our work together, we will help you get unstuck from things that have happened, and even let go of parts of the past, while creating tools that keep you rooted to yourself.
