“I hate school. I have no friends. My parents don’t get me. I’m always in trouble. I can’t do anything right. Life just sucks.” Every morning you put on a mask just to get through your day. No one understands what you are going through, and you feel alone in the world. Maybe you can’t remember the last time you truly felt happy or yourself. Or, something bad happened, and your memories continue to hold you captive. You want to feel better, but you’re scared to let someone into the dark places. Parents, you see your child’s pain and all you want for them is to be happy. You want your care-free kid back. We'll work together to help you feel good again and to live your best life. We'll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences through talk, play, or art. I’ll ask you to try new ways of thinking and doing things, and to be vulnerable. Therapy may be hard at times, and you won’t don’t do it alone. I use strength-based and evidence-based approaches and specialize in working with LGBTQ+, foster youth, and individuals who have symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, ASD, learning differences, and self-harm. I provide individual therapy to those who are 25 years old or younger, comprehensive psychological evaluations (all ages), group therapy, and offer a virtual support group for parents of gender expansive children (adult children too!). I am apart of PSYPACT, which allows me to see individuals in 33+ states/territories.
