Working with a client begins with building trust. While all clients deserve affirmation, respect and understanding, each person comes to therapy with a unique social, emotional and physical history which shapes the therapy process of exploration. My training and experience is trauma informed with an emphasis on integrating and affirming identity, strengthening self-efficacy and encouraging hope. Navigating family or social expectations and personal mental health can be uniquely challenging for LGBTQ+ clients. I offer support on that journey to ensure all aspects of who you are and what you need are considered with kindness and supported with knowledge and skill.
