Provider Description
My psychotherapy practice is focused on working with adolescents, young adults and adults - typically my folks are under 40, but don’t let that scare you away! I practice from trauma-informed and strengths based perspectives. I have extensive experience working with people in the LGBTQ+ community in general, as well as trans and gender expansive adults and youths more specifically. I also specialize in working with eating disorders. I come from a Health at Every Size perspective. I believe in body neutrality and fat liberation. I find great joy and fulfillment in doing this work and in building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients. I approach therapy as a flexible, collaborative process that places client voice and choice at the helm, with you informing your own priorities and goals. I utilize skills and techniques from talk therapy, narrative therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, art therapy, and mindfulness practices as appropriate, integrating other skills and theories as needed. I want to work with you to find a plan and combination that works best for you as an individual, so that together we can work to best meet your goals!
